SkypeSync is a great utility for heavy-duty Skype users. The average Skype user only uses the application to communicate with friends once in a while. However, many of us actually use Skype for its greater beauty: the ability to call anyone in the world for cheap right from our computers. Now, I have tons of phone numbers that I call using Skype. The import function of Skype doesn't really import phone numbers for your contacts. So, if you want to add your contacts for a second call, you need to create a SkypeOut contact. Multiply that process by hundreds and you get the time that it will take me to add all my contacts. And I don't even have a lot of contacts. SkypeSync talks to your Outlook account, your Gmail account and Mobile Phone's address book to retrieve all your numbers. Then, it creates SkypeOut contacts with their phone numbers. The next time that you log-in, you will see all your phones ready to be dialed with a single click. The trial version is limited to 15 contacts, but if you get the full version, I am sure you could save yourself a lot of trouble, and you can also start using Skype like it really is meant to be used. |
